“And one day we will die, And our ashes will fly from the aeroplane over the sea, But for now we are young, Let us lay in the sun,
And count every beautiful thing we can see, Love to be, In the arms of all I’m keeping here with me.” – Neutral Milk Hotel
Imagine waking up, taking a nice slow relaxing drive to your wedding day destination, walking in and smelling the warming aroma of freshly brewed coffee all the while you are surrounded by smiles from the kindest souls and beautiful forms of art all around you. You are carried away to a land of true craftsmanship, from the table runners, to the planter boxes, to the suspenders the groomsmen are wearing, every piece of the day has been carefully and artfully picked and placed in it’s resting spot, with the utmost care and love. Everywhere you look is something new to feast your eyes on and to get lost in, this was what Joelle & Justin’s DIY Carlisle Ribbon Mill wedding was. It was the true collaboration and extension of who Joelle and Justin are as a couple, and every aspect of their wedding day was picked with the most care to represent their love and life together, even down to the handmade basket the flower girl carried down the aisle.
We’ve had the most amazing time with Joelle and Justin on their wedding journey, and we knew from day one they were a perfect match for us. All of the love and care they put into their day, not just the details, but making sure that their day was a true representation of who they are and their love really spoke to us. They are such an easy going, laid back couple with a true love of art and craftsmanship and we knew their wedding was going to be stunning and just as laid back as they are. It was a huge honor to be a part of their wedding day, to capture their moments, the big and the small, throughout their day and to celebrate in the love they share. We couldn’t be more thrilled to share their wedding with the world, especially after the fun we had capturing their amazing creative process with their screen printing and design company, that you can see here.
Joelle & Justin’s wedding photos are a combination of Digital and Film images that were scanned at Richard Photo Lab.
