Emily & Ryan Duportail House Wedding
"You don't love someone for their looks, or their clothes, or for their fancy car,
but because they sing a song only you can hear." - Oscar Wilde
It was a beautiful October day, that we hold so dear, that we said I do and became husband and wife. Six years ago on October 18, 2008 we were married on a beautiful, if slightly cold, fall day. It is a day that we will always hold dear to our hearts for the obvious reasons, but also for the reasons that aren't so straight forward. It was a day in our lives that we celebrated the love that we share, a love that we shared for 4 years with ups and downs. A love that we have shared for almost a total of 11 years now. It was a day that we loved so openly, honestly and fully with our closest family and friends, some of which sadly was the last time we had a chance to share our love with, but that propelled a passion that we've been lucky enough to share with some amazing couples.
October 18, 2014 we shared a day with Emily and Ryan. A day that was truly an honor to capture and even more of an honor to share with these two. It was a day filled with anticipation, love, happiness, and so much joy that took us right back to our own wedding day. Shooting a wedding on our anniversary, sharing our love and passion with an amazing couple and their friends/family really is one of the biggest and truest gifts that we could give Emily and Ryan.
It was a beautiful day, the leaves were changing, the sun was shining, and it was the perfect setting for a Duportail House wedding. Emily and Ryan shared their love amongst their closest friends and family, smiling, laughing, and crying tears of happiness. The love they share and the love they celebrated is such a true and honest love, they made capturing it so easy with their openness with one another. They weren't afraid to just be who they are, show their true couple essence and it truly shined through in the images. We truly couldn't be more thankful to have had the chance to be with these two, to capture their day and to celebrate all of the love that they have on a day that is now so important to both of us.
